The "Transmontanos" are known for their abundant tables, filled with local wine, olive oil, and sausages. They produce, in a very limited region, a generous and flavorful olive oil.

The "Trás-Os-Montes" region is located at the heart of the mountainous Douro Valley. Its unique microclimate and predominantly granitic soil give the region’s olive oils a distinctive character.
