Badger hair is considered by manual shaving enthusiasts to be the best hair for a shaving brush. Very rare, it is made up of very fine bristles collected from the animal's neck and requires a large quantity of bristles to produce a single tuft.
As well as being extremely soft, this bristle retains a lot of water, enabling you to create a voluminous, creamy lather very quickly.
